Layla, a 5-7 year old Australian Cattle Dog Cross, is on the search for her forever home.

She's a sweet girl, but needs a space without other pets or children.

As an adopter, expect multiple visits to help Layla transition smoothly.

Willow, a female Italian Corso Dog under one year old, requires an adopter committed to continue her basic training.

The centre recommends her new home not have any pets or young children

She can tolerate older teenagers, as long as they're comfortable around excitable dogs.

Willow will require frequent visits from the adopters for a smooth transition into her new home.

Val

Val, a 2-5 year old Belgian Shepherd Dog (Malinois), seeks a calm, adult-only home.

Trust staff have said her affectionate personality shines through after she forms a trusting relationship with a person.

Unfortunately, she does not coexist well with other pets and prefers home comforts for herself.

An understanding owner who visit her multiple times before adoption will be best for Val.

Monica and Phoebe

The Northern Echo: Credit: DOGS TRUSTMonica, a 5-7 year old Retriever (Labrador) requires a co-adoption with her best friend Phoebe.

These two need a peaceful, remote location shielded from frequent visitors, which will allow them to settle and develop a bond with their new family quietly.

They can be easily startled by new surroundings and people; thus, the adopters need to visit the Centre a few times for successful familiarization.
