Two people have been taken to hospital after 'coming off' a motorbike in County Durham.
Emergency services were called to the A19 between the A181 and A1086 at about 1pm, following reports of a collision on the stretch of road.
Highways North East said at the time that the A19 northbound was closed 'temporarily', due to a collision including a motorbike.
At one point, the Highways service said that there were 30 minute delays on the A19 travelling to and from County Durham.
Following the incident, the North East Ambulance Service has confirmed that two people have been taken to hospital.
A spokesperson for the North East Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 13.12 today (Saturday, June 1) to attend to two people who had come off a motorcycle on the northbound carriageway of A19. A paramedic crew and clinical team leader attended and took both patients to Sunderland Royal Hospital."
