Many high profile brands and businesses have lodged plans to open new stores in a North East shopping centre this year.

Retailers such as Nike Unite and Primark have opened new locations at Teesside Park in Thornaby this year.

There is speculation that brands White Stuff and Rituals could be coming to the park after planning documents for units 21A1 and 21A2 showed the retailers on the plots.

Adding to this, a Teesside Park spokesperson confirmed Ninja Warrior will be coming to the park following talks for the vacant former Rainbow Casino site.

Ninja Warrior will open at the retail park in July.

Nike Unite opened their new store in Unit 12a on Thursday (February 22) offering a variety of sportswear for men, women and children.

Meanwhile, giant retailer Primark opened their store on May 22.
