A new County Durham gym has unveiled the look of its new facility after opening its doors earlier this month.

PureGym officially opened for its first customers on May 13 at Durham City Retail Park - but has now shown the first images of how it looks inside in a bid to get more people to sign up.

According to the big-name company, PureGym Durham City Retail Park will provide members with access to flexible, affordable fitness around the clock; all through PureGym’s flagship low-cost, zero-contract memberships.

This includes:

  • Hundreds of pieces of state-of-the-art equipment
  • A functional zone, free weights area, fixed resistance, cardio equipment and a fitness studio
  • A huge range of classes, all included within the membership price
  • Certified PTs are available to support clients and a free initial exercise induction
  • Free parking is available on-site

A spokesperson for PureGym said: “Following sustained demand for PureGym’s flexible and affordable fitness offering in County Durham, we are excited to open our second gym in the area at Durham City Retail Park.

"Our newest gym will support local Durham residents and the city’s thriving student community to enhance their mental and physical wellbeing.

"The gym is a fantastic addition to Durham and its surrounding areas, driving footfall to the retail park and providing nine new jobs in the booming health and fitness sector."
