The road outside Reid Street Primary School will be closed throughout the day as resurfacing work takes place.
Video from the scene this morning shows tarmac has been taken off the road ready for the new layer to be put down.

Parents at Reid Street Primary School will have to park a bit further away if Reid Street is their usual drop off location.
On the Darlington Borough Council website the work is described as a 'Patching Contract'.
It will last all day today (May 31).
