A HOST of big-hearted businesses have been honoured for their support of a North-East hospice.

Tributes were paid to the companies at a Corporate Partner Lunch, staged at Ramside Hall, near Durham, by Butterwick Hospice.

Ramside Estates owner John Adamson, who has been supporting Butterwick Hospice for more than 20 years and raised more than £30,000 with a trek along the Great Wall of China, was presented with an Ambassador Award, while Ramside Estates was welcomed as a new Corporate Partner.

Other businesses receiving awards for their valued support were; Cummins, Croxdale Group, Printwell North East Ltd, Prismatic Wealth, The Odd Baron, K Home International Ltd, Cleveland Cable, Integrated Office Supplies, Map Group, Trustlaw Wealth, and Trustlaw Solicitors.

Guest speaker at the event was Jason Knights, Managing Director of global branding agency, Blue Kangaroo, and Export Ambassador for the Northern Powerhouse.

Butterwick Hospice chief executive Edward Gorringe told the business gathering: “These continue to be challenging times for the hospice movement, but the Butterwick is in a stronger position thanks to the dedication of its staff, and the loyal support we receive from local businesses. I can’t thank you enough for the difference you make.”
