One of the UK's most successful waste management companies, based in the North East, is celebrating hitting a triple target.

Waste Managed, Newcastle-based, has just signed up its 30,000th customer, expanded its headquarters and recruited 13 new staff.

Launched 12 years ago, Waste Managed now has operations all over the country, run from its base on Grey Street,

CEO Damon Smith said: “The team are thrilled to celebrate these milestones, which reflect our unwavering commitment to excellence, innovation, and sustainability.

“Upgrades to the website, customer portals and team growth reflects our commitment to providing our customers with easy access to information and resources tailored to their needs. As we continue to grow and evolve, we remain dedicated to delivering superior waste management solutions while driving positive environmental impact."

The growth in customer base has led Waste Managed to invest further in the business's operations with a new 2,500 sq ft of additional space secured for the growing customer service team. To support the continued growth, the team has grown by 13 recruits – 12 roles will be based within the Customer Services team, and one will be placed in Retentions and Renewals.

These new additions will bring the overall team size to 167. Investments have also been made within the IT team with John Huggins joining the team as the new Chief Technical Officer, bringing 30 years of expertise and leadership to the business.
