Trains are currently delayed between Durham and Darlington after a fault on the rails.
Line-side equipment has been affected in an incident on the train tracks.
Delays of 20 minutes are expected for around the next hour.
A spokesperson for TransPennine Trains said: "Due to a problem with line-side equipment between Durham and Darlington trains have to run at reduced speed on some lines."
