Twenty plucky volunteers will conquer their fears by taking part in a sponsored abseil at Roseberry Topping next month.
The event, on June 9, is being organised by the Stokesley Marie Curie Fundraising Group in conjunction with Pinpoint Adventure and The National Trust, to raise money for Marie Curie.
In order to put on this event, the group has received generous financial backing from Stokesley Rotary Club, The Kings Head Inn, in Newton under Roseberry, and Robin Jessop Ltd, and practical support from Yorkshire Vehicle Hire.
A spokesperson for the fundraising group said: "This means that 100 per cent of the sponsor money raised by the participants will go towards providing quality Marie Curie nursing care in this region.
"If you wish to donate to this worthy cause, in support of our courageous volunteers, please go to www.justgiving.com/page/stokesley-fundraising-group-1705941660972.
"Your support is very much appreciated."
