Six County Durham residents have been fined in court for littering and fly-tipping offences.
The residents, who all appeared in Peterlee Magistrates' Court, were ordered to pay costs and fined.
These offences link to prosecutions brought by Durham County Council - which has seen a fixed penalty notice ignored by the residents.
Six County Durham residents fined for littering offences:
- Sarah Knaggs, of Eden Terrace, Oxhill failed to comply with a Community Protection Notice in relation to waste in their garden. They now have a total of £839 in fines and costs to pay.
- Ross William Horner, of Conyers Road, Chester Le Street failed to comply with a Community Protection Notice in relation to waste in their garden. They now have a total of £438 in fines and costs to pay.
- Andrew Garner, of South Norwood, failed to comply with a Community Protection Notice in relation to waste in a property they own in Tweed Terrace, Stanley. They now have a total of £860 in fines and costs to pay.
- Samantha Camsell, of School Terrace, South Moor failed to comply with a Community Protection Notice in relation to waste in their garden. They now have a total of £615 in fines and costs to pay.
- Martyn Dugdale, of Whitehouse Lane, Ushaw Moor, failed to comply with a Community Protection Notice in relation to waste in their garden. They now have a total of £726 in fines and costs to pay.
