A car park on the coast has been left flooded after a beck burst its bank as heavy rain continues to batter the region.
Cat Nab car park in Saltburn has been left flooded after Millholme Beck burst its bank following heavy rainfall today (May 22).
Videos and pictures showed water pooling in the car park as the beck surged.
One resident said a car remained in the car park while the flooding was ongoing.
Residents reacted to the news and expressed shock at how bad the flooding was.
One said: “Just drove past here Rushpool Road, is bad [there] as well if anyone is going that way.
Another concerned resident said: “This is very worrying indeed!”
While another resident reported that the Cat Nab metal bridge had been cordoned off.

They said: “We've come off the park to find Cat Nab metal Bridge cordoned off.
“Just managed to cross wooden bridge at mini railway station, but looks like there's no chance of going back that way. Pub it is then.”
The Northern Echo have contacted Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council for more information on the incident.
