An investigation has been launched after a large fly tip was found on a Bishop Auckland road.
Durham County Council have confirmed they are investigating after the waste was discovered at the rear of Leeholme Road in Leeholme.
Wardens said they found “substantial evidence from the waste and are pursuing three lines of enquiries.
A spokesperson for DCC said: “A large fly tip at the rear of Leeholme Road, Leeholme, is currently being investigated by Neighbourhood Warden 111.

"NW111 has found substantial evidence from the waste and currently has three lines of enquiries open.
“We take strong action against those who fly-tip in order to improve areas for all the community, not only is it unsightly but it can be a source of harbourage for vermin and pests but it can also be a target for arson.
