Officers have released images of a man they are hoping to speak to as they investigate a report of burglary in Newcastle.

Police received a report of burglary which took place at a house on Brandling Park, in the Jesmond area of the city, on Saturday, April 6.

A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: "It was reported that, at 7.30pm that day, a male offender entered the property via a boarded up window.The Northern Echo:

"He then looked around various rooms before leaving with a bag he had picked up from inside the address.

"A number of enquiries have been carried out since the incident was first reported.

"Today (Tuesday), officers have released images of a man they would like to speak in connection with the report.

"He was in the area at the time the offence took place and it is believed he may be able to assist officers with their investigation."

The man, or anyone who knows who he is, should use the ‘Report’ page of the Northumbria Police website, or call 101, quoting crime reference number 39564E/24.
