A motorcyclist has died following a crash between a car and motorbike in the Yorkshire Dales.
North Yorkshire Police have confirmed a man, 54, from York has died following a crash in the B6265 just outside Hawes at around 2.40pm on Sunday (May 12).
They also confirmed a blue Renault Capture car travelling from Aysgarth to Ribblehead, and a black Triumph Speed Triple motorcycle which was travelling in the opposite direction.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Renault Capture is assisting police.
A NYP spokesperson said: “A man from York had died after a car and motorbike collided in the Yorkshire Dales.

“It happened at around 2.40pm yesterday (Sunday, 12 May) on the B6265 just outside Hawes.
“We are appealing for any witnesses or dash cam footage which may have captured the collision or the vehicles beforehand, and anyone who witnessed either if they have not yet spoken to us.
