A 50-year-old man has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm and strangulation of a man in Guisborough.
Redcar Police were called to the incident in Stakesby Close at around 8.15pm on Friday May 10.
A 52-year-old man had a number of stab wounds and was taken to hospital.

His injuries were not deemed to be life threatening.
The 50-year-old man was charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent, possession of a bladed article, intentional strangulation and assault by beating.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Teesside Magistrates’ Court on Monday 13th May.
