A large "violent incident" broke out at a pub in Middlesbrough this evening (Saturday, May 10), with police still in attendance at the establishment.
At around 6pm this evening, a fight took place at the Jack and Jill pub, on Crossfell Road in Middlesbrough.
Officers from Cleveland Police rushed to the scene, and remain in the area whilst enquiries continue and the "full circumstances of the incident are established."
The area around the pub remains cordoned off this evening.
A spokesperson for the force said: "Cleveland Police are in attendance at the Jack and Jill pub in Crossfell Road, Middlesbrough, after Officers responded to reports of a violent incident which happened shortly before 6pm today.
"Officers will remain at the scene for some time while the full circumstances of the incident are established.

"Members of the public are urged to avoid the area.
"Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact police by dialling 101, quoting reference number CVP-24-087342."
