A road will be closed 'for some time' following a crash that reportedly saw two air ambulances and multiple other emergency service vehicles at the scene.
North Yorkshire Police has confirmed that it is currently at the scene of a serious collision on the A6108 between West Tanfield and North Stainley.
The road has been closed in both directions to allow emergency services to work at the scene.

Reports suggest that police, ambulance vehicles and air ambulance are all at the scene.
In a statement, North Yorkshire Police said: "We’re currently dealing with a serious road traffic collision on the A6108 between West Tanfield and North Stainley.
"The road is currently closed and is expected to be for some time.
"Motorists should find an alternative route."
