Two people have appeared in court charged with attempted murder after reports of someone falling from a height.
Andrew Hobson and Samantha Nunn are also accused of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent following the alleged incident last month.
The pair appeared at Teesside Crown Court after a 20-year-old suffered serious injuries in Stockton.
Nunn, 32, of Sandringham Road, Thornaby, pleaded not guilty to both charges during the short hearing.
Her co-accused, 45-year-old Hobson, was not asked to enter any pleas to the charges he is facing.
Judge Howard Crowson remanded Hobson, of Sun Gardens, Thornaby, and Nunn, of Sandringham Road, Thornaby, in custody until the date of their trial.
Emergency services descended on Parkfield Way, Stockton, during the early hours of the morning on Sunday, April 7.
