Four teenagers have been arrested after a motorbike was stolen and a drug stash was uncovered in Northallerton.
During the early hours of Saturday, May 4, a motorcycle was stolen from the car park at Tesco in the town.
The council CCTV operator found footage of the theft and a potential description of a suspect vehicle.
Through the CCTV footage, an area where the motorcycle had been moved to for collection by the thieves, was identified.
Through ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) work by officers, the vehicle was identified, with Northallerton response officers able to locate and recover the stolen vehicle.
The suspect vehicle returned to Northallerton later the same day – which saw police officers waiting for it and stopped it.

Four people, aged 16 to 18, in the car, were arrested and evidence from the vehicle was recovered.
This included the angle grinder that was used in the theft of the motorcycle, plus a large amount of cocaine.
All four remain in custody and have been linked to a series of other offences across Hambleton in recent weeks.
