A new adventure park based on TV’s Ninja Warrior will open at Teesside Park in July.
The long-teased attraction set to bring some of the ITV show’s most well-known obstacles and challenges to Teesside Park will open in time for the summer holidays.
It comes after bosses at the retail park confirmed Ninja Warrior would be moving in after speculation the company behind it was in talks to take over the former Rainbow Casino unit, which had sat closed since 2016.
Plans went before council planners earlier this year.
The venue will be the first of its kind in the North East with the nearest Ninja Warrior UK Adventure Park currently in Leeds.
Visitors will be able to take on the iconic warped wall, two fixed obstacle courses and a giant inflatable course.
There will also be a dedicated area for under fours or ‘young ninjas’, a café, a viewing area and party rooms.
Dawid Kaminski at Leisure TV Rights Ltd, the company behind the new Teesside venue, said, "It's fantastic to announce the opening of the Ninja Warrior UK experience to the North East this summer, right in time for the summer holidays.
“We will be bringing an action-packed experience to this massive venue, which offers activities for the whole family to enjoy, as well as our Ninja Lates for those who prefer to visit the venue during adult-only sessions.
“We cannot wait to deliver this famous experience to Teesside, which welcomes everyone to enjoy fitness challenges whether with groups of friends and family or solo training.”
