A new café will open near Northallerton next week after celebrating a successful soft launch which saw Yorkshire Vet Peter Wright attend.
Spencer’s of Newsham Grange will officially open its doors on Friday (May 10) between Northallerton and Thirsk - offering hot drinks, meals, cakes, and baked goods.
Based in the village of South Otterington, the business is owned by sisters Karen and Jackie, who have converted an old stables into a stylish café and tea room, while the food will be prepared by head chef Elle.

The café aims to use as many local suppliers as possible, which includes the coffee, which is supplied by Rounton Coffee Roasters.

The opening of the café comes after a soft launch on Friday, April 26, which saw a ribbon cutting ceremony and guest speaker, Peter Wright (TV’s The Yorkshire Vet) accompanied by his wife Lin, and was well received by all guests.
In images of the soft launch event, Mr Wright could be seen smiling away while cutting the opening ribbon - marking a new chapter in the owner's new business venture.
Following the soft launch, the area's newest business is looking forward to welcoming locals and visitors to its café - and has asked people to follow them on Facebook and Instagram by searching 'Spencer’s of Newsham Grange'.
