A Durham nightclub has closed its doors after more than 40 years of trading after people, including Dominic Cummings, said 'farewell' to the venue.
Nightspot Klute, which is based on Elvet Bridge in Durham City, was famed for its sticky floors, packed dancefloor and university memories, but it reportedly closed permanently on April 20.
Klute, which was once branded the 'second worst nightclub in Europe' by publication FHM Magazine, was then given the top spot after number one on the list burnt down.
On Google, Klute now shows as 'permanently closed' - but its social media pages and website have still not put out any form of official statement.
But Dominic Cummings, Boris Johnson's former advisor, paid tribute to Klute on Saturday (April 27) - where he once worked collecting money on the door.
He posted on X, formerly Twitter: "Farewell Klute, the best nightclub outside Moscow, after working there dealing with SW1 felt like easy mode."

Few know my dad & uncles named it after watching the classic 70s film, watch it if you never have

Klute was previously owned by Cummings's uncle but its ownership was taken over by Tokyo Industries in 2013.
Becoming famous for its popular club night 'Sunday Night Klute' and signature 'quaddie' drink, the company behind the venture hasn't posted a closure notice - but no social media activity has been seen since March and the club has only been open on weekends since January.
Following the reports of its closure, current and former Durham University students have reacted to the news.

One student, who witnessed the 'raucous dancefloors' of Klute first hand, said: "The atmosphere was always packed and the floors were always sticky - but it was always a great night and people had the best time there.
"I have plenty of memories with friends there and even though some say it's the worst in Europe, I always find it a great time."
Meanwhile, another former student added: "The venue was an institution of Durham - before coming here, other former students would speak about it - and after seeing for myself, I realised it was such a great time."
