Refurbishment works have now begun on a North East play park.
Stockton Borough Council have confirmed works on the children’s play area in Ropner Park will now begin on May 7.
They were originally slated to begin yesterday (April 29).
The council have said the works will take six weeks to complete.
The project was planned to begin on April 23.

A SBC spokesperson said: “The refurbishment works to the children's play area will now begin next Monday (April 29). The play area will remain open until then.
Previously, a spokesperson for the council said: “The children’s play area in Stockton’s Ropner Park will be shut from Tuesday, 23 April for refurbishment.
“The work will take six weeks to complete. Sorry for any inconvenience.”
