A large emergency service presence attended an ‘incident’ at County Durham industrial estate this afternoon.
North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) confirmed emergency services attended the South West Industrial Estate in Peterlee on Saturday (April 27).
Durham Police and County and Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service were both in attendance.
Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) also deployed an air ambulance to the scene.
A NEAS spokesperson said, "We received a call at 12.22 to reports of an incident in the South West Industrial Estate area of Peterlee.
“Police and fire also attended the scene. We dispatched 4 Hazardous Area Response Teams (HART), a clinical team leader, a specialist paramedic, two ambulances and requested support from the air ambulance.

“A number of our resources still remain at the scene (as of 13.50)."
Durham Police, County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service and the Great North Air Ambulance Service have all been contacted for further comment.
