A driver made off from the scene after a vehicle crashed into a property last night (Thursday, April 25).
Northumbria Police confirmed they received a report that a vehicle had collided with a property on Wright Terrace in Shiney Row, near Houghton-le-Spring.
Police confirmed the driver had fled the scene before police arrived.
They added no one was injured in the incident.
A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “Just before 8.30pm last night (Thursday), police received a report that a vehicle had collided with a property on Wright Terrace in Shiney Row..
“Thankfully, no one was injured in the incident.

“The driver of the vehicle made off prior to police arrival on scene.
“Enquiries are currently ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact us using the ‘Report’ pages of our website, or call 101, quoting log NP-20240425-1050.”
