Fourteen motorists have been named and fined in court after being caught speeding in County Durham and Darlington.
The cases were heard at Peterlee Magistrates' Court, Newton Aycliffe Magistrates and Teesside Magistrates Court during the last month.
Here are the 14 Darlington and Durham drivers fined in court this month:
Dale Mark Thirtle, 34, of Woodhorn Villas, Ashington, was charged with exceeding the 50mph limit on September 15, 2023, while driving a Mercedes on the A167 Hermitage to Plawsworth road.
The offence was withdrawn but he was charged with failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of the vehicle when required. The latter case was found proved under the Single Justice Procedure. He was ordered to pay a fine and costs of £1,014 and his licence endorsed with six points.
Benja Lveas, 31 of Princes Road, Middlesbrough was charged with exceeding the 50 mph speed limit on September 15 2023 at A167 Hermitage to Plawsworth, Chester-le-Street while driving a Volkswagen.
The offence was withdrawn but he was charged with failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of the vehicle when required. The latter case was found proved under the Single Justice Procedure. He was ordered to pay a fine and costs of £1,014 and his licence endorsed with six points.
David Weatherall, 34, of Sandford Close, Wingate, was charged with exceeding 30 mph September 19, 2023, while driving a Renault on the C135, Wellfield Road, Wingate.
The offence was withdrawn but he was charged with failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of the vehicle when required. The latter case was found proved under the Single Justice Procedure. He was ordered to pay a fine and costs of £1,014 and his licence endorsed with six points.
Leanne Adams, 39, of Bede Close, Escomb, Bishop Auckland, was charged with exceeding the 30 mph limit on September 18, 2023, while driving a Honda at High Etherley.
The offence was withdrawn but she was charged with failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of the vehicle when required. The latter case was found proved under the Single Justice Procedure. She was ordered to pay a fine and costs of £1,014 and her licence endorsed with six points.
Dawn Campbell, 57, of Front Street, Leadgate, Consett, was charged with exceeding 30 mph on September 20, 2023. while driving a Skoda on the B6309 Watling Street.
The offence was withdrawn but she was charged with failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of the vehicle when required. The latter case was found proved under the Single Justice Procedure. She was ordered to pay a fine and costs of £1,014 and her licence endorsed with six points.
Kane Dunn, 21, of Grasmere Terrace, South Hetton, Durham, admitted to using a motor vehicle on a road/public place without third-party insurance, namely a BMW 5 Series, on Mill Lane at Sherburn Village in County Durham on November 9, 2023.
A guilty plea was noted, and the defendant was fined £400, and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £160 and court costs of £90.
He was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driver's licence for six months due to repeat offending. His driving record was endorsed with six penalty points.
Gary Bishoprick, 37, of Clarence Chare, Newton Aycliffe, Durham, was proven guilty of driving a motor vehicle, a Ford, otherwise than in accordance with a licence on Burnhill Way at Newton Aycliffe in County Durham on December 29, 2023.
He was also found guilty of using a motor vehicle on a road/public place without third-party insurance. He was fined £660, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £264, and court costs of £90 and his driving record was endorsed with eight points.
Alan Hardy, 35, of Bruce Glazier Terrace, Shotton Colliery, Durham, failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a Fiat on September 6, 2023, 15/11/2023 at Easington when required.
He was fined £660, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £264 and court costs of £90. His driving record was endorsed with six points.
Emma Birch, 34, of Falmouth Drive, Darlington was proven guilty of speeding on Burtree Lane in Darlington on September 7, 2023, exceeding 30 miles per hour in an Audi.
She was fined £220, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £88 and court costs of £90. Her driving record was endorsed with three points.
Robert Mellenthin, 55, from Souter Drive, Seaham, admitted to speeding on B1283, Hall Walks at Easington Village in the County of Durham on September 14, 2023, exceeding 30 miles per hour in a Peugeot.
A guilty plea was noted, and the defendant was fined £352, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £140 and court costs of £90. His driving record was endorsed with six points.
David Aaron Vaughan, 36, of Cleveland View, Skelton, admitted driving a motor vehicle while over the alcohol limit on Stockton High Street on January 3, 2024.
He was fined £120, ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £48, and disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 12 months.
This disqualification will be reduced by three months if he completes a course approved by the Secretary of State by October 21, 2024.

The following day in Middlesbrough, Vaughn was also found guilty of possession of a quantity of Zopiclone, a class C drug. He was ordered to have the Zopiclone forfeited and destroyed by the police.
Christina Brannan, 35, of Victoria Road, Gateshead, appeared by live link and admitted that on April 14, 2023, she was the person in whose name a vehicle was registered under the Vehicle Excise and Registration Act 1994 when it did not meet the insurance requirements.
She was fined £54, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £22 and ordered to pay costs of £110.
William Clay, 64, of Malton Green, Gateshead, failed to attend court but was found guilty in his absence.
On October 26, 2022, Clay had a vehicle registered in his name under the Vehicle Excise and Registration Act 1994 that did not meet the insurance requirements.
He was fined £90, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £36 and ordered to pay costs of £110.
Emilia Lawden, 25, of Hawks Edge, West Moor, Newcastle upon Tyne, admitted that on January 5, 2023, she kept an unlicensed vehicle.
She was fined £115, ordered to pay vehicle excise back duty of £6.67 and ordered to pay costs of £90.
