A police officer is facing a disciplinary hearing accused of falsifying information following a call-out to a report of domestic abuse.
PC Neal Murray is also accused of failing to carry out an adequate search for a vulnerable woman and ensure that she was safe after attending the incident on November 20, 2020.
The Cleveland Police officer is also accused of falsifying his entry in his electronic pocket notebook that indicated the complainant of a domestic violence incident (Ms A) did not want to pursue the matter any further.
The officer is also accused of providing dishonest responses when quizzed by a supervising officer and also mad derogatory remarks about the complainant.
The force alleges that he has breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour for police officers, specifically the standards of: Discreditable Conduct; Honesty and Integrity; Duties and Responsibilities; and Authority, Respect and Courtesy.
If the allegations are proven it could result in a finding of gross misconduct and being sacked from the force.

The allegations:
- On 20/01/2021, PC Murray falsified an entry on his electronic pocket note book (EPB) that indicated the complainant of a domestic violence incident (Ms A) did not want to pursue the matter any further.
- On or around 22/01/2021, PC Murray provided dishonest responses to his supervising officers in respect of the electronic note book entry. He maintained his account for a period of time and went as far as making a further inaccurate and dishonest response to his supervising officers.
- On or around 21/01/2021, PC Murray made a number of derogatory remarks when speaking about Ms A.
- On 10/11/2020, PC Murray attended an incident of suspected ongoing domestic abuse relating to Ms Y and given the recorded history, PC Murray knew or ought to have known that Ms Y was a vulnerable person. PC Murray also failed to take any adequate steps to locate and/or safeguard Ms Y.
