A County Durham pub has re-opened and re-branded to a steakhouse following a renovation makeover - look inside.
The Stapylton Steakhouse in Hawthorn, Seaham, threw open its doors to happy punters following a lengthy renovation project last Friday (April 26).
The pub was formerly run by husband-and-wife duo Steve and Sharron Marley until they called time earlier this year following the rising cost of living and a change in drinking habits.
Weeks later, landlords Ian Foxton, 39 and Paul Rowntree, 45, took on the pub and have rebranded it to a steakhouse - which is serving up everything from seafood and burgers to sirloin steak and ribs.
This is the latest project for the duo who took on The Fox and Tree just over a year ago and now hope to make the steakhouse a success with support from the community.
Inside, the building has seen a total renovation and now includes sprawling pastel flowers across the ceiling and muted checked décor with dark green panelled walls.
The bar has also seen a makeover and offers a brand-new set of drinks, with Coors, Madri and Guinness being just a few of the tipples available.
Ian said: “We have tried to create a warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere. We’re also dog-friendly in the bar area meaning people are welcome to bring their pets.
“There is also an outside area which we’ve renovated to make it look a bit more inviting.”
The bar is open from 12pm to 11pm each day, and the restaurant operates from 12pm to 8pm.
Here are some pictures of the venue following the renovation.
