Five County Durham residents have been in court charged with a range of offences, including littering, drink driving, and drug driving.
The five people appeared at both Peterlee Magistrates Court and Newton Aycliffe Magistrates Court and saw people fined, ordered to pay costs and some were disqualified from driving.
The total cost of the fines amounted to £2k.
Here is who appeared in court:
Dawn Shaw, 43, of Tudhoe Moor, Spennymoor, County Durham, admitted two counts of driving a motor vehicle with a proportion of a specified controlled drug above the specified limit on September 2, 2023.
Shaw was given a community order that included a drug rehabilitation non-residential directive by the Probation Service for six months and 25 days of rehabilitation activity.
She was also disqualified from driving for 40 months and ordered to pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service and a victim surcharge of £114.
Jonathan Stainthorpe, 35, of Turnbull Close, Gilesgate, pleaded guilty to three counts of traffic violations on September 26, 2023.
Along with driving record endorsements, Stainthorpe was obliged to be disqualified from driving for 15 months and was fined £120. Costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £48 were also ordered to be paid to the Crown Prosecution Service.
Colin Hedley, 44, of Shinwell Terrace, Wheatley Hill, County Durham, admitted driving a motor vehicle when their alcohol level was above the limit on March 29, 2024.

Hedley was obliged to disqualify from driving for 12 months with driving disqualification reduced after the completion of a course. He was fined £80 and ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £32 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
Sarah White, of Tindale Green, Newton Aycliffe, was proven guilty in their absence for failing to comply with a community protection notice. White was ordered to pay costs of £531, a fine of £120, and a victim surcharge of £48.
Jack Slavin, of Lobley Hill Road, Gateshead, was proven guilty in absence for abandoning a property on a highway on November 15, 2023. Slavin was fined £220, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £88 and costs of £230.
