Two air ambulances and an ambulance attended reports of an ‘incident’ at a private address this morning.

North East Ambulance Service have confirmed they received reports of the incident at the Sunderland address at 8:46am on Wednesday (April 24).

They confirmed they deployed an ambulance crew, a rapid response paramedic, a specialist paramedic, a clinical team leader, a crew from their EVAC team to the scene.

A Great North Air Ambulance spokesperson confirmed they arrived at the scene at 9:13am, and delivered “advanced care” to a patient.

A GNAAS spokesperson said: “Our critical care team based in Teesside was activated at 8.57am to an incident in Sunderland.

"They arrived on scene at 9.13am and requested the assistance of our Cumbria team, who landed on scene at 9.56am.

"Our teams worked alongside the North East Ambulance Service and delivered advanced care to a patient.

"The patient was taken to hospital by the North East Ambulance Service, accompanied by our team."

This comes after reports two helicopters from GNAAS landed near Buzz Bingo, close to the Lansdowne Pub.

A NEAS spokesperson said: “We received a call at 8.46am this morning to reports of an incident at a private address in Sunderland.

We dispatched an ambulance crew, a rapid response paramedic, a specialist paramedic, a clinical team leader, a crew from our EVAC team, and requested support from our colleagues at the Great North Air Ambulance who attended by air.”
