A man was airlifted to hospital after a stabbing in County Durham that has seen another man and a teenager arrested in connection with the incident.
The incident happened in Fernwood Street in Sacriston at about 1.20pm on Sunday (April 21), after emergency services received reports of a disturbance.
Police have confirmed that a 25-year-old man sustained a stab wound and was taken to the RVI, in Newcastle, where he is being treated for what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
Police officers, paramedics and an air ambulance were all scene at the incident on Sunday.
Durham Police have said that an investigation remains ongoing and that two people; 25-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy; have been arrested in connection with the incident and remain in police custody.
A spokesperson for Durham Police said: "Enquiries are ongoing and officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or have any CCTV/Dashcam from around the same time.
"Officers are treating this as an isolated incident and would like to reassure the public there is no risk to the wider community.
"Anyone with any information is asked to call Durham Constabulary on 101, quoting incident reference 188 of April 21."
A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We received a call at 13:16 this afternoon to reports of a person injured in the Sacriston area of Durham.

"We sent an emergency ambulance crew, a clinical team leader and the Great North Air Ambulance, who transported one male patient to hospital for further treatment."
A Great North Air Ambulance spokesperson added: "We were activated at 13:19 to an incident in County Durham, we flew to the scene and arrived at 13:37.
"Our Doctor-led crew worked with the North East Ambulance Service to stabilise the patient before accompanying them to hospital."
