Two drivers have been taken to hospital for ‘possible spinal injuries’ following a crash which closed a North East road.
Cleveland Police have confirmed enquiries are underway following a two-vehicle crash on Norton Avenue in Stockton shortly after 9:30pm on Sunday (April 21).
They confirmed the collision involved a silver Audi travelling down Norton Avenue towards Aldi and a black Honda.
Both patients were taken to hospital with suspected fractures and possible spinal injuries.
A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: “Enquiries into a two-vehicle collision are continuing today and officers would ask anyone who has not yet spoken to police or provided doorbell/dashcam or CCTV footage to get in touch.
“It happened last night (Sunday 21st April) just after 9.30pm on Norton Avenue, Stockton.

“The collision involved a silver Audi travelling down Norton Avenue towards Aldi and a black Honda and both vehicles sustained front-end damage and needed to be recovered.
“Both drivers were taken to James Cook University Hospital for suspected fractures and possible spinal injuries and officers will check their medical conditions today.
