One person has been airlifted to hospital following reports of an incident in County Durham.
Emergency services were in attendance in Sacristion this afternoon (April 21) following reports of an "injured person".
The Great North Air Ambulance (GNAAS) as well as the North East Ambulance Service were in attendance at the scene.
The circumstances as well as the exact location of the incident are not yet known.
A NEAS spokesperson said, "We received a call at 13:16 this afternoon to reports of a person injured in the Sacriston area of Durham.
"We sent an emergency ambulance crew, a clinical team leader and the Great North Air Ambulance, who transported one male patient to hospital for further treatment."
A GNAAS spokesperson said: "We were activated at 13:19 to an incident in County Durham, we flew to the scene and arrived at 13:37.
"Our Doctor-led crew worked with the North East Ambulance Service to stabilise the patient before accompanying them to hospital."
