A man has been taken to hospital after reportedly being found unwell on the roadside in Darlington this evening (Wednesday, April, 17).
Emergency services were alerted to the incident on Grange Road, Darlington, shortly after 8pm.
Two police vehicles and two ambulances were pictured at the scene, where paramedics attended to the patient before he was put in an ambulance.
The North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) has confirmed that one person was taken to hospital.
A NEAS spokesperson said: "We received a call to 999 at 20:07 to reports of a person unwell on Grange Road in Darlington.
"We sent a rapid response paramedic and an emergency ambulance crew and transported one make patient to Darlington Memorial Hospital for further treatment."
A Durham Constabulary spokesperson said: "Police were called at around 8.25pm yesterday (April 17) following concerns for the welfare of a man on Grange Road, in Darlington.
"Officers attended and the man was taken to hospital by paramedics."
