An investigation has been launched after a man’s body was found at a Darlington property over the weekend.
Durham Police have confirmed they discovered the body of a man in his 50s after attending a property on St John’s Crescent in Darlington at about 2pm on Saturday (April 13).
They added the death is being treated as “unexpected”.
Police have said formal identification has not yet taken place, but the man’s family have been informed.
A Durham Police spokesperson said: “An investigation has been launched following the death of a man in Darlington.

“Police officers attended a property on St John’s Crescent at around 2pm on Saturday (April 13) where they discovered the body of a man in his fifties.
“The death is currently being treated as unexpected.
“Formal identification has yet to take place, but the man’s family have been informed.”
