The council has said the project is nearing completion as the clock face was reinstalled on Thursday (April 11).
They added the works are expected to be complete in early May.
SBC also confirmed part of the roof has been replaced, and the next step in the development will see a number of windows refurbished.
A council spokesperson said: “Maintenance and repair work to the Stockton Town Hall, roofs, clock tower and windows are nearing completion as many of you will have noticed the clock face was reinstalled yesterday.
