Five drivers have been in court this week, charged with various motoring offences, including speeding, driving without a licence and driving without insurance.
All of the drivers appeared at Teesside Magistrates Court, with the drivers getting fines and points on their licences.
Five Teesside drivers fined a total of £3k in court:
Martin Purvis, 32, of Highfield Road in Middlesbrough, admitted speeding on Park Road North in Middlesbrough on August 23, 2023. He was fined £166, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £66, and ordered to pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service. He also got three points on his license.
Stacey Tait, 39, of High Street in Eston, Middlesbrough, admitted speeding on A66 Eastbound in Stockton-on-Tees on July 30, 2023. She was fined £285 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £114. A collection order was made and she got six points on her license.
Peter Noble, 44, of Talland Close in Hartlepool, admitted using a motor vehicle without insurance and not in accordance with a licence in York Road, Hartlepool on July 11, 2023.
He was fined £438, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £175, and ordered to pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service. A collection order was made and he got six points on his license.
Steven Schofield, 39, of Runfold Close in Stockton-on-Tees, was found guilty of using a hand-held mobile telephone while driving on Longlands Road, Middlesbrough on July 27, 2023.
He was fined £220, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £88, and ordered to pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service. A collection order was made and he got six points on his license.
Carl Hannan, 19, of Caithness Road in Middlesbrough, used a motor vehicle, namely an off-road motorbike, on a road known as West Street in Middlesbrough, when there was no insurance, on June 16, 2023.
He was fined £660, was ordered to pay a surcharge of £264 to fund victim services, and was ordered to pay costs of £620 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

His driving record was also endorsed with six points.
In addition, on the same date and location, Hannan drove the same off-road motorbike otherwise than in accordance with a license.
This offence had no additional penalty, but his driving record was further endorsed.
