A popular North East café has closed its doors while landlords look for a new tenant.
The Dancing Cup, located on York Road in Hartlepool, announced on Tuesday (April 9) that it has closed down.
The business originally closed down last year but had reopened in January.
A spokesperson for the business said the premises will remain closed until a new tenant takes over the space.
In a post online, they said: “It is with regret that Leon and Allison will be no longer able to manage the cafe moving forwards.
“We will be closed until a new tenant takes over and would be interested to hear from anyone who would be looking to take on the business/premises.
“We wish Leon and Allison all the very best for the future.”
Residents have responded to the news of the closure with disappointment while others hoped it would not be closed for long.
One resident said: “Oh no way? What a shame! Lovely little place.”
