Despite heavy rain bombarding the town after Storm Kathleen earlier this week, is appears that the rain will be clearing today, according to the Met Office.
It is set to be cloudy in Darlington and across the North East today (April 11) with strong winds mid-day with some small peaks of sunlight across the afternoon.
While today starts off cloudy in some places, it is expected to be dry and bright, with a good deal of sunshine developing over the region by the afternoon.
It's set to be breezy in hilly areas although it will still feel warm in the sunshine. Temperatures are expected to reach a maximum of 18C.
As the day draws to a close, clouds are set to increase overnight bringing more rain and drizzle throughout the evening with lows of 8C.
Heading toward the weekend, Friday is set to start off ‘grey and damp’ with some dry and sunny spells throughout the day. Temperatures are expected to reach around 15C.
