Six County Durham residents have been in court this week - charged with multiple offences, including littering, failing to comply with community protection notices and failing to get their dog microchipped.
All six of them appeared at Peterlee Magistrates Court, where they were fined, and now have to pay fines and costs of over £5000.
Here is who appeared in court:
- John Greener, from Church Street, Leadgate has been prosecuted for failing to comply with a 21 Day Notice in relation to them requiring him to have his dog microchipped and details kept up to date. The Defendant now has a total of £538 in fines and costs to pay.
- Michael Martin, from Roseberry Street, No Place has been prosecuted for failing to comply with a Community Protection Notice in relation to waste. They now have a total of £1072 in fines and costs to pay.
- Jodie Anne Finch, from George Street, Langley Park has been prosecuted for failing to comply with a Community Protection Notice in relation to waste. They now have a total of £1072 in fines and costs to pay.
- Tekin Kaya, from Front Street, Chester-le-Street has been prosecuted for failing to produce waste documentation in relation to their business waste. They now have a total of £1221 in fines and costs to pay.
- Mark Farthing, from Woodside Drive, Consett has been prosecuted for Vehicle Abandonment under Refuse Disposal (Amenity) Act 1978 Section 2A. They now have a total of £826 in fines and costs to pay.
- Ian Clark, from John Street, No Place has been prosecuted for failing to comply with a Community Protection Notice in relation to waste. They now have a total of £1147 in fines and costs to pay.
