A busy North East road will be closed overnight this week as resurfacing works begin.
Stockton Borough Council (SBC) have confirmed Queen Elizabeth Way in Stockton will be closed tonight (April 8) and Tuesday (April 9) night as part of the works.
It will be closed from the southbound direction tonight from 9pm until 6am.
The road will then be closed from the northbound direction the following evening from 9pm until 6pm.
The Council have said diversions will be signposted while works are being carried out.

A SBC spokesperson said: “Sections of Queen Elizabeth Way will be closed tonight (8 April) and tomorrow night (9 April) for resurfacing works.
“The road will be closed southbound tonight from 9pm until 6am and then closed northbound the following evening from 9pm until 6pm.
“Signed diversions will be in place throughout the works and we are sorry for any inconvenience.”
