More than 25 tonnes of fly-tipping were cleared from a North East alleyway over the past week.
Middlesbrough Council have confirmed the rubbish was cleared from Wicklow Street in Middlesbrough, and now patrols will be increased in the area to prevent a reoccurrence.
They said their crews will now visit each alleyway every two weeks to “stamp out” fly-tipping.
Mattresses, rubbish bags, appliances and other waste strewn across the alleyway have now been cleared by wardens.
A Middlesbrough Council spokesperson said: “We want to say well done to our hard-working staff members who cleaned up this alleyway at Wicklow Street in Middlesbrough.
“But as you can see from the video, cleaning up dumping at this level - 25 tonnes in the past week - shouldn't be a regular part of their job.
“Our crews will now visit each alleyway in town every two weeks to stamp out the scourge of fly-tipping.

"But the small minority of people in Middlesbrough who think it is acceptable to fly-tip their rubbish have been warned - you will be pursued and prosecuted.
“In the first three months of 2024, we've fined 25 people - each up to £800 - and taken three people to court.
