Construction is well underway for a new Greggs store in a County Durham retail park which is set to open in the coming weeks - here's where.
Greggs will soon open its latest store in Dalton Park in the coming weeks as work to renovate the unit, which was formerly home to a Starbucks, continues.
The Starbucks café closed its doors for the last time on March 10, and it was noted soon after that plans were submitted to Durham County Council by the popular North East bakery chain to take over and renovate the unit.
Greggs last month confirmed they would take over the site, and have now revealed it will be opened in the coming weeks.
A Greggs spokesperson said: “Greggs is due to open a new shop in Dalton Park within the next few weeks. We will be able to share further details with you closer to the opening.”
Pictures of the unit taken today (April 10) show work is still ongoing and it is still boarded up, with signs saying 'Can't wait? Neither can we!'
