Northallerton Bowling Club is holding an open day later this month, and is urging people to "come along and give it a go".
The annual event has been very successful in recent years, attracting more than 60 new members to the club, most of whom have never played bowls before.
The club, which is based at 82 South Parade, Northallerton, DL7 8SJ, will run the open day between 10am and 1pm on Saturday, April 20. Tea, coffee and bacon rolls will be available between these times.
Members of the club will be on hand to demonstrate how to bowl, both on the outside playing green, and the indoor carpet rinks.
A spokesperson for the club said: "The event is open to all ages, so why not come along and give it a go. We look forward to seeing you there."
