County Durham's motorists will have nine road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
And two of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
- A66, from 8pm March 13 to 6am April 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A66 Bowes to Coach and Horses eastbound and westbound, lane closures for inspection works.
- A66, from 8am February 5 to 6am May 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A66 eastbound and westbound, Old Spittal Farm to Smallways, traffic signals and lane closures for technology works.
- A19, from 8pm September 18 2023 to 5.30pm February 25 2025, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 north and southbound, A182 Cold Hesledon Interchange, carriageway and lane closures for maintenance works.

And a further five closures will begin over the next two weeks:
- A19, from 8pm April 2 to 6am July 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A19 southbound, B1404 Seaton Lane Interchange exit slip road closure for maintenance work.
- A19, from 8pm April 2 to 6am May 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A19 southbound, B1320 Peterlee to A179 Sheraton Interchange, carriageway closure for maintenance works.
- A19, from 8pm April 5 to 6am April 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 northbound, between A179 Sheraton Interchange and Hutton Henry, Lane closure for maintenance works.
- A167, from 8pm April 8 to 6am April 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A1M northbound and southbound, junction 63 interchange, lane closures for drainage works.
- A1(M), from 8am April 12 to 4.30pm April 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A1M northbound and southbound, junction 58 to junction 59, mobile hard shoulder closure for drainage works.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
