A new restaurant will open this week as part of an adjoining hotel’s £2m refurb.
Chicken-based restaurant Social Bird will land in Newcastle on Friday, April 5 on Fenkle Street, just off Westgate Road.
Bosses at the company say their new venue will offer diners something for every occasion, be it coffee, lunch, dinner or cocktails.
The eatery comes as part of a £2m refurb of the city’s Hotel Indigo and replaces its Marco Pierre White Steakhouse.
Specialties on the menu include chicken schnitzels and burgers, and the venue boasts a separate breakfast menu and deli counter with takeout options.
General Manager Emma Thompson, said: “We are thrilled to introduce Social Bird to Newcastle, bringing a place where every detail has been crafted to make you feel at home, and every bite a culinary delight.
“Social Bird is set to become a vibrant part of our local community, offering a unique and inviting space. We can’t wait to welcome everyone to experience the great hospitality and unique charm of Social Bird.”
