An investigation has been launched following fly-tipping on a County Durham road.
Durham County Council Neighbourhood Wardens are appealing for more information after a fly tip appeared on Forge Lane in Great Lumley today.
They are asking anyone with information which might assist their enquiries to come forward.
Images of the scene show fences and other materials dumped on the road.
A Durham County Council spokesperson said: “Neighbourhood Wardens are currently investigating a fly tip that has appeared at Forge Lane in Great Lumley today.

“We would like speak to anyone that may have any information in order to assist with our enquires.
“If you recognise any of the waste in the attached photograph, we also ask that you contact us on 03000 260000.
“To report fly tipping, please visit https://www.durham.gov.uk/flytipping or by calling the above number. If you witness fly tipping taking place, we ask that you contact Durham Constabulary whilst the incident is taking place so that officers are able to attend.”
