An area of Middlesbrough is under a dispersal order this Bank Holiday Monday after antisocial behaviour has ramped up.
The order has been put in place this evening in the Netherfields area, in Park End, Middlesbough, following reports of increased antisocial behaviour.
The 48-hour first came into effect yesterday evening (Match 31), at 10 pm and will run until 10 pm on Tuesday, April 2 around the area of Vaughan Shops in Netherfields.
It applies to any public place bounded by Fulbeck Road, Sedgebrook Gardens, Stapleford Road, Midville Walk, Burwell Road, Althorpe Close and Cargo Fleet Lane.
The order gives officers the powers to ask anyone in large groups to leave the area for 48 hours. If they return they could be arrested for breaching the order.
A spokesperson from Cleveland Police said: "Officers will be conducting high visibility patrols and anyone suspected of being involved in antisocial behaviour will be asked to leave the area.
"Anyone who wishes to report antisocial behaviour is urged to call 101 and report it to us. Always call 999 in an emergency."
