Staff and shoppers are celebrating the launch of a new shop on the site of a former Wilko store after months of renovation work on the building.
Community retailer The Original Factory Shop welcomed shoppers to its new Northallerton store on Saturday (March 23) - which created 14 jobs for the area.
As well as exciting shoppers in North Yorkshire - it is a first for The Original Factory Shop, which saw the Northallerton branch become the first new format of store for the retailer.
To mark its opening, which saw it grow its portfolio of over 200+ stores, gift cards were handed out to the first customers through its doors, while the store also performed a prize draw lucky dip for the first 50 paying customers, with cash values of up to £100 up for grabs.
The new look discount department store is situated at 166-170 High Street, Northallerton, DL7 8JZ and is now open, and has seen the retailer bring its range of great value branded clothing and footwear, garden and outdoor products, pet products, electricals, homewares, a party shop service and reserve and collect to Ringwood customers and residents.
Adding a unique offering to Northallerton’s shopping area, customers will be able to purchase big brands with big savings of up to 70 per cent, according to The Original Factory Shop.
Brands stocked at the store will include the likes of Adidas, Nike, Clinique, Olay, Ralph Lauren, Converse, Hugo Boss and Emporio Armani.

"Our store is run by local people from Northallerton, we can’t wait for more of the community to come down and see us. TOFS is a national business made up of over 200 local businesses, and we’re thrilled to officially be a part of the family.”
