Emergency services are on the scene of a disturbance outside the Tyne Tunnel Trading Estate this morning (March 27).
Northumbria Police remain at the site in North Shields, North Tyneside.
A police cordon is in place and a forensics tent has now been erected. Police sniffer dogs are scouring the area and a car has been removed from the scene.
Much of the police activity has been centred on a sandwich shop on the estate.
A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said they deployed two ambulances and a medical response car to the scene.
A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “Just after 8.40am this morning (Wednesday), police received a report of a disturbance outside a premises on the Tyne Tunnel Trading Estate in North Shields, North Tyneside.

“Emergency services are currently on scene.”
A NEAS spokesperson said: “We were called at 8.29 this morning to an incident at Tyne Tunnel Trading Estate.
“We dispatched a clinical team leader, two double crewed ambulances and the medical response car from Great North Air Ambulance.”
